Ganguly wants India versus Pakistan in the semi-finals of the upcoming ODI World Cup.
Former captain Souraf Ganguly believes Australia, England and India are the favorites to reach the semi-finals of the ODI World Cup, which starts on 5 October. He added that New Zealand could never be ruled out and hoped Pakistan would advance to the next round so fans could enjoy the classic India-Pakistan thriller.
If India face Pakistan in the semi-finals, the match will be played at Eden Gardens in Souraf’s hometown of Kolkata. As such, he remains excited about the potential India-Pakistan matchup at the legendary Eden Gardens.
“It’s very difficult to say. Australia, UK, India. New Zealand cannot be underestimated for such a big game. Select 5 and also include Pakistan. India v Pakistan semi-final will be held at Eden Gardens as Pakistan has advanced qualifiers (laughs),” Ganguly was quoted by RevSportz as saying.
