BCCI is yet to disclose India’s roadmap for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
After failing to perform well in the last round of the T20 World Cup, the selectors have given more opportunities to young cricketers, as long as it is the shortest format of the match, like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and even KL Rahul. It was reported that the player could be sidelined. In support of this philosophy, the selection committee once again decided to nominate a relatively young team for the five-game T20I series against the West Indies, as neither Virat nor Rohit were selected.
The main aim is probably to manage the workload ahead of his ODI World Cup, but the roadmap is not yet clear as BCCI has not laid down his T20 cricket regime. Former chief executive Souraf Ganguly said Virat and Rohit are both doing well in the shortest format, so both should join the plan. The former India captain also added that Virat has been in great form in the recently concluded Indian Premier League and therefore has no idea why he is not successful in the T20 international competition.
“Choose the best players. It doesn’t matter who they are. In my opinion, both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma still have a place in T20I cricket and why Kohli or Rohit are in T20I.” I don’t understand why he can’t play cricket, Kohli is doing great in the IPL and they both qualify for T20 cricket if you ask me,” Ganguly was quoted by RevSportz.
Ganguly gives message to Rink Singh, Ruthraj Gaikwad and Jitesh Sharma We should face five consecutive battles. However, no one entered the 15-a-side team. In this regard, Souraf Ganguly said that if they continue to perform well, they will soon have a chance in the first team.
“Just keep playing. You have to keep performing whatever the opportunity. he is eleven. So someone must be missing. She is confident her time will come,” Ganguly said.
