‘Rocky Aur Rani…’ marks Karan’s return to director’s chair after over six years
MUMBAI: Star filmmaker Karan Johar announced Tuesday whether actor Shah Rukh Khan will make a special cameo in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’.
On Tuesday night, Curran went live on Instagram to chat with fans about his next album. When a fan asked if he was in the movie, he replied, “Luckily for you guys, I’m not in the movie.”
One user asked the filmmaker , asked if Shah Rukh Khan was in the film. To this he replied, “No, Shah Rukh is not in the film,” but added that SRK’s blessings are on them.
King Karan made a special cameo appearance in Karan’s last film directed by Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
When discussing his special cameo appearance in the film, KJo dropped a few hints and said, I won’t reveal my name.”
Karan released the official trailer for his film on Tuesday to much fan reaction.
The film, starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi, is set to hit theaters on 28th July.
He also revealed that the next song from ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ will be released on July 11th, 2023 and that the song is already in the trailer.
The trailer introduced the lives of Rocky Randawa and Lani Chatterjee, who have polar opposite lifestyles. Rocky is a Punjabi boy from a wealthy Punjabi family, while Rani comes from a Bengali family where his knowledge and intelligence are valued above all else. They fall in love, but soon discover that their families don’t like each other. Rocky and Lani then decide to “swap” and live with each other’s families in order to impress each other’s families.
Rocky Aur Ra ni Kii Prem Kahaani blends the delicacy of Johar’s story with his impressive ensemble of his cast, grandeur and music, promising to be a wholesome big screen entertainer. There were also plenty of scenes of the two being romantically involved, having fights, celebrating all sorts of celebrations and possibly weddings with their families.

The film marks the second collaboration between Ranveer and Alia following their hit ‘Gully Boy’.
