Randeep Helps Flood Victims
The actor shared a video on Tuesday showing him preparing for a relief effort. He sat in his car, put on his hat, got out and joined the relief effort. The video showed him walking to a house surrounded by knee-deep water and delivering food packages.
Randeep also stood near the relief camp and distributed bottles and packs of cooking oil to the flood victims. His girlfriend, actor Lynn Laishram, was also in the video. She also shared the video on Instagram Stories.
Fans Praise Randeep
Randeep captioned his post, “The Seva (Ministry)… is calling on others to come out and help each other,” and Randeep’s fans flooded the comments with their gratitude and love for him.
One of them wrote “I respect you” and another wrote “He is the only one in Bollywood who has always been a mouthpiece for his country’s public. One of his fans wrote, ‘Ek high to dill high Randeep by Kitni Baal Jeetge (I only have one heart, how many times can I win)?’ He called on the states of Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi for rescue and relief efforts.
Teams, working in conjunction with state governments, have reportedly rescued 1,600 people across the country. In addition, 7,241 people and 956 livestock were evacuated to safety.
Randeep’s New Film
Randeep has finished filming his upcoming biopic ‘Swantantra Veer Savarkar’. The movie revolves around the life of Vinayak Damodar Shavarkar, also known as Veer Shavarkar. Randeep will make his directorial debut with a film co-written with Utkarsh Naitani.
